I had known Henry since the late 50's, and before he passed away a couple years ago he told me he wanted me to have this Wagemaker row boat. About the same time another friend from the 50's, asked me to keep my eyes open for a good fishing boat. That's how easy it was. We had a great time restoring it and now its good for another 50 years. So if you have a boat or are looking for a boat project please contact me and we will try to get you hooked up.
"It's all about saving Wooden Boats"

No stern, no seats, 5 foot port side crack, no problem.
Made in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Wagemaker went out of business in early 60's
Take it apart, put it back together, simple !

"This fishing boat is too nice for worms"
Scrap lumber really helped dressed her up.

The original cedar used for the sides is 3/4" x 15"
This is "old growth" lumber, wow ! Makes one wonder how old the tree was. What a pleasure to work with this lumber.

Captain Julius provided the muscle during the restoration. The boat now belongs to his brother Jim at Crooked Lake, Delton Mi.

Captian Julius, making her ready for another 50 years.
